Will of William Harrison of Little Crakehall, 13 November 1675
In the name of God amen, I William Harrison of Little Crakehall in the County of Yorke being sick and weake of Body but of good and perfect memory, blessed be God for it, doe order and dispose of that little Portion which God hath lent me in this world in manner following :
And first I give and bequeath my soul into the mercifull protection of Jesus Christ my only saviour and Redeemer. And my Body to be buried where mine executrix hereafter named and appointed shall thinke fitt . Item, I give unto Francis my wife all my land, tennements and hereditaments whatsoever for and during her naturall life for the maintenance of her selfe and my childeren. And after her decease I give all my said lands, tenements and hereditaments aforesaid, one close only excepted called by the name of Low Woods, unto my son Thomas and his Heires. Item, I give unto my three younger childeren, viz Christopher, Dorothy and Anne, the close before excepted called the Low Woods equally to them and their heires after the decease of my said wife, or unto soe many of them as shall survive my said wife, and to their heires. And lastly I give unto my said wife all my goods and chattells whatsoever and doe make her sole executrix of this my last will and testament, revoking and makeing void all former wills by me made, and this only to be taken for my last will and testamente.
Sealed and declared the thirteenth day of November Anno Dm. 1675 in the presence of Henry Storer, Daniell Grayson, John Tanfield.
