Will of Richard Clarke of Little Crakehall, husbandman, 2 June 1616

Whereas I have solde and conveighed all my landes lyeinge within Little Crakehall aforesaid to Miles Metcalfe of Great Crakehall,gent, the consideration whereof is yett behinde and unpaid as doth and maye appeare by certaine artickles indented and made between the aforesaid Miles Metcalfe and me Richard Clarke beareinge date the sex and twentithe daie of Septemer in the eleeventh yeare oif the reaigne of our sovraigne lorde King James, 1613. Nowe my mynde & laste will is that accordinge to the effecte, purport, tenor and true meaninge of the said artickles the consideration for the said lands solde to the said M.M. be paid to Robart Harrison, Richard Harrison and Ann Harrison their mother and my daughter, att suche tyme and tymes, as within the said artickles are expressed, specified and declared, and as by the said artickles ytt shall and will appeare.

Also I give and bequeathe to William Harrison, sonne of the said anne my daughter, tenn pounds of lawefull english monie to be paid to him within one moneth next after my wife her departure oute of this lyfe, grandmother to the said William, and she to have the occupacion therof dureinge hir naturall lyfe.

Also when my debts and funerall expences are discharged all the reste of my goods and chattels moveable and unmoveable and all the debts oweinge unto mee by anie pson or psons I give and bequeath to Isabell Clarke my said wyfe, and I make and ordaine hir full and sole executrix of this my laste will and testament.
