VISIT US

Ladycross is still a working quarry, and although the stone is extracted by hand, without explosives, there is heavy equipment on site and steep rock faces. Moreover, because of the nature of the terrain most of our wildlife is at ground level, and very sensitive to visitors' feet ! For these reasons we have to ask visitors to pre-book, or join one of our organised activities

TOILET

Our new Eco-Loo is situated beside the wishing well near the quarry office.

BIRD HIDE

The two-person bird hide overlooks the biggest of the ponds and the surrounding deciduous woodland and reedbed. It is an excellent place from which to watch and photograph waterfowl and dragonflies on the pond and small birds in the nearby trees and shrubbery.
The hide must be booked in advance - please telephone Lara at 07765 644453. It is available mornings (9am-12 noon) and afternoons (1pm-4pm) on weekdays (except bank holidays).
A donation is requested towards upkeep of the reserve.
